After a comprehensive and rigorous search (see below for details), your Fishhawk Lake Reserve & Community Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce the hiring of Marilyn Tucker as our new Community Manager. We are confident that Marilyn’s skills, experience, integrity and interests are a great match for this new position and the needs of our very special lake and community.
Marilyn is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting Major. She has extensive experience in accounting, corporate payroll, contract work and budget development. Her recent work with the Washington County District Attorney’s Office and the Oregon Judicial Department highlight her skills as a leader and supporter of various government initiatives. Concurrently, her contributions as a member of the Board of Directors of an Orenco HOA in Hillsboro focus on work involving budgeting, conflict resolution, insurance, contract work, the City of Hillsboro planning commission, and property management.
A bit about Marilyn in her own words: “I have two grown children. My son is a Silicon Valley engineer and my daughter is an Oregonian who makes stop motion films. I have two granddaughters and have had a steady stream of rescue dogs in my life. I have run the Boston and Marine Corp marathons and hiked the Great Glen Way in Scotland. When I’m not working, I love to walk, hike and work in the garden and look forward to adding kayaking to my list of leisure activities.”
As our new Community Manager, Marilyn will be the day-to-day manager of all lake and community operations. She is genuinely excited about the opportunity and privilege of working with our community members, our employees and the Board of Trustees to protect and grow this very special place. Marilyn will begin work the week of November 26th.

Community Manager search and selection process: FLRC’s Community Manager position was posted for 30 days on Indeed.com, ZipRecuiter.com and Craig’s List. Over 50 applicants from around the country responded. Resumes and cover letters were examined and nine were selected for further review. Of these, the Evaluation and Interview Committee chose five for interviews. After the first interviews, two finalists were chosen for a second interview and background checks, to include credit, criminal and internet checks. The results of these interviews and background checks were forwarded to the Personnel Committee, which made the final recommendation to the FLRC Board of Trustees on November 10, 2017.
