Security Update

Hello all of my neighbors at Fishhawk Lake.  I’m pretty sure that spring has sprung and with it I want to share a few thoughts I have about security with you.  This last month we have had a few minor incidents at the lake that were taken care of in a very neighborly and friendly manner.  One incident involved a couple noticing a cabin door ajar while they were hiking along the lake.  They very neighborly knocked and called out and listened for any unusual sounds.  They locked the door and called security.  I then called the owner and notified them.  Another incident involved a member observing some young boys in a rowboat fooling around with a floating log along the boom.  He very nicely told them that the boom was to stop the debris from going into the glory hole and that they shouldn’t play on the boom.  He also called security and I notified the supervising adults.  These are just two examples of our community watching out for each other and our property.  It makes me proud to be a part of the lake membership and to be so lucky to live here.  I cannot stress enough how important it is for all of us to be on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.  With spring here we will be having a lot of people driving by to look at the lake and properties for sale.  We are a volunteer security patrol and it takes us all to keep our community safe and secure.

On that note, I want to report that the cement bench that was donated by the Boxmans and placed on Northshore Drive came up missing on the morning of March 23rd.  If anyone saw anything late March 22nd afternoon or during that night please let me know.
