Hiking and Skiing

Once again it is hiking time.  With all the wild flowers blooming and greenery coming out it is beautiful out there.  My hiking buddies and I have found a few new back logging roads to explore and are willing to share them with anyone who is willing to take the time.  We have found a way to hike the back roads to Fishhawk Cemetery.  There is even a new little beaver dam that we stumbled upon.  It will be a delightful place to take my grandchildren this summer.  They will love to eat lunch there and play in the shallow water and catch mud puppies.

During this last winter we enjoyed putting our cross-country skis on and skiing up behind the blue gate.  What a wonderful experience!  Everything was so peaceful and with the big fat snowflakes coming down it was like a winter wonderland.  It was work going up the hill but what a rush coming down.  Jenny Tomasso accompanied us one day on foot and by the time we got to the top of the hill the snow was knee deep.  She got herself a
