Fishing Regulations

Following is an outline of my phone conversation with Chris Knudson, Dept. of Fisheries, regarding the listing in the Oregon Sport Fishing 2006 Regulation booklet.

Fishhawk Lake is now being listed in this booklet due to the increased number of inquiries received by the district during the last couple of years regarding fishing regulations at the lake.

Fishhawk is regulated under the stream rule.

The regulation is lake wide and should have read Columbia and Clatsop County.

Fishhawk is open for trout May 27-Oct. 31, catch and release only. Angling restricted to artificial flies and lures only May 27-Aug. 31. Fishhawk is closed to fishing from Nov. 1 to May 26. If the members of the lake wish to change this regulation, an angling regulation change can be requested, however, the review process will not take place for 2 years.
