GPS Coordinates of clubhouse: N46° 02.91, W123° 21.747 TO
GET THERE; Take
Sunset Hwy (Hwy 26 West) out of
Portland to the Vernonia exit (Hwy 47). Turn right onto Hwy 47 and continue
through Vernonia to Mist (approx 15 miles to Vernonia and another 15 to Mist).
At Mist, follow Hwy 202 (veering left) toward Birkenfeld and Astoria.
The turn-off to Fishhawk Rd is between mile post 42 and 43 (approx 4
miles from Mist). Turn right onto Fishhawk Rd. The lake is approximately 3.5
miles on the left. If you
are heading out of Portland on Hwy 30,
continue on to Scappoose. At the north end of Scappoose, turn left from Hwy 30 at
the Vernonia exit sign. Continue for 19 miles to the junction with Hwy 47.
Turn right on Hwy 47 to Mist (approx 11 miles). Take Hwy 202 at Mist
toward Birkenfeld and Astoria. The Fishhawk Rd. turn-off is between mile post 42
and 43. Turn right onto Fishhawk
Rd. The lake is approximately 3.5
miles on the left. An
alternate route from Hwy 30 is to continue through Scappoose and St. Helens to
Clatskanie. At the west end of
Clatskanie, turn left onto Hwy 47 at the Mist sign. Continue 11 miles to Mist. At the
junction with Hwy 202, turn right towards Birkenfeld and Astoria.
Turn right again at the sign for Fishhawk Rd. and continue 3.5 miles to
the lake. If you
are coming from Astoria or Jewell, travel east on Hwy
202 to Birkenfeld. One mile past Birkenfeld, turn left onto Fishhawk Rd.
The lake is approximately 3.5 miles on the left. If you
are coming from Washington, cross the Lewis and Clark bridge from Longview into
Rainier, and go west on Hwy 30 to Clatskanie. At the west end of town, go
south on Hwy 47 to Mist, then west on Hwy 202, then 4 miles to the Fishhawk Lake
turnoff.
Gas is
not available in the Mist, Birkenfeld or the Fishhawk area. Food and groceries are
available 7 days a week at Birkenfeld
